Was your flight cancelled or badly delayed?
Airline rules don't replace your consumer rights, and an airline can't charge you a fee to get a refund you're owed.

Refund
or a replacement flight may be owed when a flight is cancelled or delayed, depending on the circumstances
How to do it
- Write down what happened: the flight, the cancellation or delay, and what the airline offered.
- Ask the airline in writing for a refund or replacement, citing your consumer guarantee rights.
- Don't accept a credit if you wanted your money back without checking you're entitled to more.
- If the airline refuses, go to your state or territory's consumer protection agency.
