Privacy policy

The short version

Reading this site gives us nothing. No account, no cookie, no analytics, no third-party tracker on any page, checked on 23 September 2026. The only personal information we hold is an email address you typed in, details you sent in a brand enquiry, or words you chose to type into a feedback box.

If you just use the site

Nothing is collected about you. No account, nothing gated, no cookie, nothing written to your browser's storage.

Our server receives the ordinary request information any browser sends. We build no profiles from it and run no analytics over it.

If you use the live AI check tool

When you enter a business type and suburb into the check tool, that text is sent to our server and forwarded to Perplexity and ChatGPT to run the query. We do not log it. The result is returned to your browser and nowhere else.

The AI providers' own privacy policies apply to the query they receive.

If you request a check

When you submit the free check form, we collect your business name, business type, suburb, and email address. We use this to run the check and send you the report. We do not sell it, share it, or use it for any other purpose.

The form data is sent to our server and emailed to us. We do not log it beyond what is needed to run and deliver the report.

If you enquire as a brand

We collect your name, email, business name, website and what you tell us, and use it to reply and do what you asked. The free offer check reads your public pages and robots.txt. We never buy data about you or pass your details on for marketing.

Where it lives

Records sit with Supabase, hosting with Vercel, email through Resend. Some store data outside Australia, mainly the United States. Everything is behind access controls, and we would tell you promptly of any suspected breach affecting you.

How long we keep it

A newsletter address is kept until you unsubscribe; after that we keep only the fact that it opted out, so it is not added again. An enquiry is kept while we deal with it, plus what tax and business records require. Ask and we delete what we are not required to keep.

Your choices

Ask at any time to see what we hold, correct it, or delete it: email jarred@referlabs.com.au, or reply to any email from us. You do not have to justify the request.

If you think we have mishandled your information, tell us. If we do not resolve it, complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
