How to do it
- Find your latest electricity bill.
- Compare plans on the government's free tools: Energy Made Easy (NSW, Queensland, SA, Tasmania, ACT) or Victorian Energy Compare.
- Call your retailer and ask to move to its cheapest plan, or switch to a cheaper one.
- Repeat once a year: the ACCC says switching saves $100 to $250 a year, depending on where you live.
